There is a generic board with no manufacturer called the ESP32S3 Supermini. Back in 2024 @justM4D got this board registered with espressif as a Generic board to receive a USB VID and PID and then got a tinyuf2 entry merged for a boot loader. adafruit/tinyuf2#411

This board is quite similar to the Waveshare ESP32S3-Zero but has a different board pin layout and different Neopixel and UART GPIOs.

Here is the Espressif PID registry PR espressif/usb-pids#183

A decent site documenting the board is (probably what I'd link to from the CP Download page):

https://www.espboards.dev/esp32/esp32-s3-super-mini/

Because this board is widely available and inexpensive I'd like to get it in the CircuitPython builds. If accepted I will do the work to get it in the CircuitPython download pages.

I've built this board definition and verified that the neopixel works correctly and the pins show up as expected using the aliexpress.us version below.

Here are a few representative links that sell the board:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GTQ24PH5
https://esp32s.com/product/esp32-s3-supermini-development-board/

Interestingly there was one place on the web that mentioned a MakerGo ESP32S3 Supermini but I think that was a misnomer. They have C3 and C6 Superminis for download on CircuitPython but I couldn't find that they ever did a S3. And their C3 and C6 entries linked to Aliexpress.

Current tinyuf2 bootloader (also tested on the board):

During the time I was building and testing @unconditional pushed a duplicate request for this board #11557. I'm ok with either moving forward.

Apparently GRB is not needed.

Looks good! Thank you! Bringing in this PR because it has the correct USB PID.
