The inbox now follows the conversation across /branch, /resume, and /clear.

  • Branches keep the inbox. /branch keeps the inbox as it stood at the branch point: the main inbox, the agent lanes, the peers, and the read and Hide marks. A message you had not read stays unread, with its sender label and any suspicious mark. The pane and /highcommand say when you branched and how many messages came from the parent conversation.
  • Resume brings it back. /resume of a conversation that ended in the same Claude Code process restores its inbox, for the last 10 conversations. /clear starts an empty inbox.
  • Presses cover only what you saw. Read all, Mark read, Hide, and an opened thread now cover only the messages that the pane or the band showed when you pressed. A message that arrived after that drawing stays unread. A press on a drawing from before a switch does nothing.
  • Update from 1.2.2. The first load takes over the 1.2.2 inbox. If its agent lanes are too large for one saved value, High Command drops their Hide marks first, then the oldest lanes, and writes a line that says what it dropped.
  • A reload of the mod keeps the current inbox but drops the inboxes kept for /resume. A /fork copy, /background, and claude --resume from a shell start a new process, where High Command starts empty.

Update: claude plugin update high-command@high-command, then start a new session or run /reload-plugins.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features
    • Inboxes are retained for up to 10 recently ended conversations in the same process. /resume restores an inbox only if the mod has not reloaded; reloads preserve the current inbox but discard retained ones.
    • /branch copies the inbox. Fresh or forked conversations start with an empty inbox.
    • Branch capture notices now show the branch timestamp and message count.
  • Bug Fixes
    • Unread status is recalculated after branching and qualifying resumes instead of being cleared.
  • Documentation
    • Updated usage guidance for inbox recovery, agent-lane restoration, and related errors.

Walkthrough

The plugin now keeps current and recent conversation inboxes in module memory, mirrors saved views to $.state, and updates session hooks to copy, restore, or create inboxes. Pane actions use the displayed drawing’s snapshot. Branch capture labels include parent-conversation context. The documentation and plugin version are updated.

Changes: Inbox State and Session Lifecycle

Layer / File(s) Summary
Saved state and migration
types/index.d.ts, hooks/limits.ts, hooks/register.tsx, AGENTS.md, README.md, docs/usage.md, .claude-plugin/plugin.json
New saved-view types and size limits support module-memory inboxes, legacy-state migration, and mirroring to $.state. The documentation describes reload behavior, and the plugin version changes to 1.3.0.
Session selection and inbox recording
hooks/register.tsx, hooks/inbox.ts, README.md, docs/usage.md
Session hooks copy inboxes for branches, restore retained inboxes for qualifying resumes, and create fresh inboxes otherwise. Event handlers record conversation and agent updates in memory. The documentation describes these session rules.
Pane actions and branch context
hooks/register.tsx, hooks/inbox.ts, hooks/text.ts, hooks/views.tsx, docs/usage.md
Pane actions use the displayed drawing’s inbox identity and sequence limits. Status and rendering read in-memory inbox state. Branch captures display parent-conversation context. The usage guide describes pane history and status behavior.
