Add shopware-cli project deploy init (with the experimental deployment build tag) to bootstrap an SSH deployment target interactively. It collects runtime and optional first-install values, writes protected configuration through a remote PHP script, and prints the remaining database, web server and deployment setup steps.
Support named SSH hosts with inherited settings, a migration host, bounded parallelism and configurable shared files/directories. Group initialization writes on the migration host and verifies that every host sees matching runtime configuration. Validate host settings, shared paths and form inputs before use.
Resolve the init command backend with the selected environment and project config. Preserve literal backslashes and dollar signs when replacing existing dotenv values, with regression coverage for the update path.
Why?
Bootstrap remote SSH deployment environments without manually constructing the deployment layout and initial configuration. For multiple hosts, centralize initialization and detect inconsistent shared configuration before deployment.
How was this tested?
Full network-isolated suite: GOFLAGS=-tags=deployment ./scripts/run-tests.sh.
Static analysis: GOFLAGS=-tags=deployment go vet ./... and GOFLAGS=-tags=deployment golangci-lint run ./... --timeout 4m (zero issues).
Formatting: mise run format-check; PHP syntax: php -l internal/deployment/ssh_deployment_init.php.
Confirmed the new existing-value escaping regression fails before the callback fix and passes afterward.
Remote PHP behavior is exercised locally through an SSH test fixture; no live remote-host verification was performed.
Validation used the mise Go 1.27.0 toolchain with its bin directory first in PATH to avoid a local Homebrew Go version mismatch.

Walkthrough
The pull request adds SSH deployment initialization, including single- and multi-host configuration, interactive and JSON-based setup, remote configuration writes, and next-step guidance. It also adds input validators and validates SSH settings after configuration includes and overrides are merged.
SSH configuration supports one target or named hosts, inherited settings, shared paths, migration-host selection, and bounded parallelism. Config loading validates the merged SSH settings.
Backend construction and deployment creation internal/deployment/backend/*, internal/deployment/ssh.go, internal/deployment/ssh/ssh.go, cmd/project/project_deployment_create.go, internal/deployment/ssh/ssh_test.go
Backend resolution now constructs SSH backends through the SSH package. A single host uses one backend; multiple hosts use a group. Deployment creation packages the project through the selected backend.
Remote deployment layout and initialization storage internal/deployment/ssh/ssh_layout*, internal/deployment/ssh/ssh_deployment_init.php, internal/deployment/ssh/ssh_initialization*, internal/deployment/ssh/ssh_init_test_helpers_test.go
The SSH initialization store inspects deployment state and sends configuration to a remote PHP script over SSH. The script validates paths and writes configuration files under a lock.
The command accepts interactive or JSON-supplied configuration. The SSH backend validates values, initializes the target, and writes next-step guidance. The new input validators and documentation describe validation behavior.
Multi-host backend and initialization internal/deployment/ssh/ssh_group*, internal/deployment/ssh/ssh_init_config_test.go
The SSH group inspects hosts in parallel, applies configuration only on the migration host, and verifies runtime configuration across the group.

existing-key update path with preg_replace_callback, returning $line from the
callback so initEncode’s backslash and dollar-sign escapes remain intact. Leave
the matching pattern and append path unchanged.

Looks good 👍🏻
Some small comments to discuss, but besides them looks good.
One small thing I didn't directly mark in code:
Depending on our future plans for supported deployment environments it may make sense to have ssh as an subpackage of deployment. May help to ensure we keep a defined contract between deployment commands and actual deployment backend implementation.
