D_RGB1 is mounted lens-up, but the SK6812MINI-E footprint used the datasheet's bottom-view land pattern (correct only for lens-down reverse mounting) and had no body cutout. Mounted lens-up, every pin landed on the wrong net and no rotation could fix it, and the part's mid-body leads could not reach the pads on a flat board. Switch to the OPSCO SK6812MINI-HS (LCSC C2922787), a flat-bottom 3535 top-mount part with the same pins and protocol: - New SnipsControllers_Custom:SK6812MINI-HS-012 footprint from datasheet Rev B/0 section 6 (top view). Pad numbers are the datasheet pin numbers: 1 GND (chamfered corner, marked), 2 DIN, 3 VDD, 4 DOUT. - Local sk6812mini-hs Stackup part; D_RGB1 placement and purchasing updated. - PCB synced from Stackup and LED re-routed; production files regenerated. - Remove the unused MINI-E footprint and the mislabeled 5050 SK6812 datasheet; add the MINI-HS datasheet. snips_controller-all.pos had not been regenerated since August (PR #28), so it still listed the MINI-E on the old PLCC4 footprint, a 330 ohm R_RGB1, and was missing parts added since. Regenerated with kicad-cli pcb export pos --side both --units mm --format ascii. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Why
D_RGB1 is mounted lens-up, but the SK6812MINI-E is a reverse-mount part. Its footprint used the datasheet's bottom-view land pattern, which is only correct when the LED is mounted lens-down through a hole, and it had no body cutout. Mounted lens-up, the pins were mirrored: neither 0° nor 180° put any pin on the right net. The leads also come out of the middle of the body, so the part couldn't reach its pads on a flat board.
This came up when PCBWay asked whether the footprint's triangle marks pin 1.
What changed
Switched to the OPSCO SK6812MINI-HS (LCSC C2922787, ~69k in stock at JLC, Extended). It's a flat-bottom 3.5 × 3.5 mm top-mount PLCC4 with the same pins and single-wire protocol, so the circuit and firmware are unchanged.
SnipsControllers_Custom:SK6812MINI-HS-012, built from datasheet SK6812MINI-HS-012 Rev B/0 §6 (top view).footprint_geometry.py --pins).sk6812mini-hspart inparts.kdl; D_RGB1 placement and purchasing entry updated. The 3.3 V supply is still below the datasheet's 3.7 V minimum, the same as with the MINI-E, and is acknowledged with anignore.Stackup Sourceline-number property shifting by one on every part.D_RGB1, C2922787and the CPL has D_RGB1 at rotation 0 on top.snips_controller-all.poshad been stale since August and is regenerated withkicad-cli.SK6812MINI-E_RGB_LED_with_integrated_controller.pdf, which was actually the 5050 SK6812 datasheet.
