feat(cli): take the security key PIN in the script review dialog - #186
When a --script command runs without a terminal (for example when an AI agent runs the CLI), the macOS review dialog now takes the security key PIN as well. Approving the script and entering the PIN become one step, and only the touch is left for when the command runs.
The dialog asks for the PIN when:
the command will ask for a WebAuthn proof: not a dry run, no --mfa-code, and the selected MFA method is WebAuthn
exactly one security key is plugged in and it has a PIN (with several keys, the challenge's credentials decide which key signs)
Otherwise the dialog works as before (Cancel is the default) and the command asks for MFA as usual.
How the PIN is checked:
On the key, before anything is sent. The CLI reads the key's credential metadata (CredentialsInfo), which needs the right PIN and no touch.
A wrong PIN re-shows the dialog, with the tries left before the key locks when the key reports them.
A PIN that's too short is never sent to the key.
A blocked key ends the review.
A key without credential management leaves the check to the assertion.
Once checked, the PIN goes through newProcessClient to the assertion, so the command skips the PIN dialog and only prompts for the touch. In this mode, Run is the default button (Return) and the PIN field has the focus. Both dialog modes now show a lock icon instead of osascript's folder icon.
The terminal flow is unchanged.
Also bumps the version to v0.1.22.
Testing
Unit tests:
When the dialog asks for the PIN (TestReviewPINCheck)
The dialog's PIN loop: retry, empty PIN, declined, failed check
verifyPIN: right PIN, wrong PIN with tries left, too short, unsupported key, blocked key
The PIN reaching the process's MFA proof (TestProcessCommandKeepsThePINFromTheReview) and the assertion (TestProcessClientSignsWithTheReviewPIN)
Mutation checks: dropping the PIN from the review result or from freshMFAAuth, skipping the WebAuthn check, and not recognizing a wrong PIN each fail their test.
Manual run on a staging rack, with a YubiKey and no terminal:
The dialog showed the PIN field.
The right PIN ran the script after a single touch, with no PIN dialog.
When a --script command has no terminal, the macOS review dialog now asks for
the security key PIN too, so approving the script and entering the PIN are one
step and only the touch is left for when the command runs. It does this when
the command will ask for a WebAuthn proof (not a dry run, no --mfa-code) and
exactly one security key is plugged in and has a PIN.
The PIN is checked on the key straight away, without a touch, by reading its
credential metadata. A wrong PIN re-shows the dialog with the tries left before
the key locks; a blocked key ends the review. A key without credential
management leaves the check to the assertion. Run is the default button in
this mode, and the dialog shows a lock icon instead of osascript's folder.

Walkthrough
The CLI can collect and check a security-key PIN in the script-review dialog for eligible WebAuthn commands. It passes the accepted PIN into process authentication. The gateway and admin images and web package version are updated to 0.1.22.

Summary
WebAuthn PIN checking internal/cli/webauthn/*
The WebAuthn package detects when exactly one connected key has a PIN and checks entered PINs. Wrong-PIN errors can include remaining attempts. The no-FIDO build provides stub functions.
Eligible commands collect the PIN during script review and pass it through process authentication to WebAuthn assertion generation. Tests and the CLI guide cover the flow and its conditions.
Version alignment and user guidance convox.yml, web/package.json, docs/src/content/docs/user-guide/cli/commands.mdx
The gateway and admin images and web package version change to 0.1.22. The user guide describes the PIN-in-review flow and the conditions for using it.
DocSpring/rack-gateway#182: Introduced the script-review flow and process authentication interfaces that this change extends to pass a security-key PIN.
